Oracle Retail MFCS Batch Operations Analyst (Junior) – v25 AMS

Samay Consulting — India Remote, India

Platform: Oracle Retail · Type: Full-time · Remote-friendly

Experience: 3-5 years

Modules: MFCS (SaaS), PCS (SaaS)

Job description

Experience: 3–5 years
Joining: Immediate (0–15 days notice preferred)
Employment type: Full-time, rotational shifts

About the role

Samay Consulting is hiring a junior Batch Operations Analyst for an Oracle Retail Merchandising Foundation Cloud Service (MFCS) v25 Application Managed Services (AMS) engagement. You will keep the live production batch running every day for the client: monitoring the schedule, resolving failures within SLA and keeping business operations unaffected.

This is a steady-state production support role. It does not involve implementation or build work.

Key responsibilities
Monitor daily, weekly and month-end MFCS production batch cycles in POM (Process Orchestration & Monitoring), including business date (vdate) rollover.
Respond to batch failures and alerts. Analyse the cause, restart or recover jobs, and bring the schedule back on track within the agreed batch window and SLA.
Log, update and resolve incidents and service requests in the ticketing tool (ServiceNow, Jira or similar) with clear notes and timelines.
Escalate platform-side issues to Oracle Support through service requests, attaching logs and evidence, and follow up until closure.
Run read-only SQL checks to confirm batch outcomes and spot data issues. Typical checks cover stock ledger, inventory, cost, price events and sales upload from Sales Audit.
Monitor batch-dependent integrations and file loads with the OIC support team, and flag missing, late or failed interfaces.
Support period-end and calendar events such as month-end, half-year and year-end batch, and the stock ledger rollups that come with them.
Do first-level analysis of recurring failures and feed them into problem management for root-cause fixes.
Handle standard service requests, such as scheduled ad-hoc job runs, batch holds and releases, and schedule adjustments, within change control.
Keep runbooks, known-error records and shift handover notes accurate and current.
Share daily batch health reports and take part in shift handovers and service review calls.

Required skills
3–5 years in Oracle Retail, with at least 1–2 years hands-on with RMS/RMFCS or MFCS production batch support.
Good understanding of the MFCS batch landscape: daily and weekly cycles, job dependencies, restart and recovery, and business date management.
Hands-on experience with POM or a comparable scheduler (Control-M, Autosys or similar).
Good SQL for data checks and reconciliation.
Working knowledge of core merchandising flows: items, purchase orders, inventory, transfers, stock ledger and pricing. You should be able to explain a batch failure in business terms.
Experience working to SLAs within an ITIL-based support process (incident, problem, change).
Willingness to work rotational shifts, including weekends and on-call, as the support calendar requires.
Clear written communication for incident updates, handovers and status reports.

Good to have
Experience supporting MFCS v25 in the cloud (SaaS) model, including working within Oracle-managed infrastructure and raising service requests effectively.
Exposure to Sales Audit (ReSA) batch, especially sales upload and GL export.
Exposure to OIC monitoring.
ITIL Foundation certification.
Fashion and apparel or grocery retail domain exposure.
