Job description
Samay Consulting is hiring an **MFCS (Merchandising Foundation Cloud Service) Support Lead** for a production support engagement — owning the health of the core merchandising backbone, with a specific focus on **stock ledger integrity and period-end reconciliation**. This is a stability and resolution role: ledger imbalances, cost variance breaks, and month-end close blockers land on your desk first.
**What You'll Own**
- L2/L3 support for MFCS with primary ownership of **stock ledger accuracy** — unit and retail/cost value reconciliation across departments, classes, and locations
- Root cause analysis on stock ledger imbalances — mismatched movement transactions, missing/duplicate postings, WAC (`AV_COST`) drift on `ITEM_LOC`
- Cost variance investigation across receiving, transfers, markdowns, and RTVs feeding the ledger
- Period-end close support — driving open discrepancies to resolution before close deadlines, and owning the pre-close ledger health checklist
- Batch job monitoring and failure triage for ledger-feeding processes — nightly cost/inventory updates, stock ledger rollups, weekly/monthly summarization jobs
- Integration issue diagnosis on flows that write to or reconcile against the ledger — MFCS ↔ ReIM (invoice cost variance), MFCS ↔ Xstore/SIOCS (sales/inventory movement), MFCS ↔ finance/GL
- Coordination with finance and merchandising teams on unresolved ledger discrepancies and close-blocking exceptions
- Incident response ownership: triage → diagnose → resolve → RCA documentation, with ledger breaks treated as priority-one
- SLA tracking for ledger reconciliation turnaround, close-cycle exception counts, and resolution time
- Runbook maintenance for stock ledger troubleshooting and L1 knowledge transfer
- On-call rotation leadership, especially around close-week coverage
**Must-Haves**
- 8–10 years in Oracle Retail, with hands-on MFCS/RMFCS support or implementation experience, and **specific depth in stock ledger processes**
- Strong grasp of stock ledger mechanics — unit vs. value reconciliation, cost method (WAC), and how receiving/sales/transfers/adjustments post to the ledger
- Comfortable tracing a ledger discrepancy back through upstream transactions and batch jobs to find root cause
- Experience supporting or participating in period-end close cycles from a systems side
- Clear communication with finance stakeholders under close-deadline pressure
**Nice-to-Haves**
- Exposure to multi-country/multi-currency stock ledger reconciliation
- Prior AMS/managed services support experience
- Familiarity with ReIM-driven cost variance and its downstream ledger impact
