**Role Overview**
We're looking for a Techno-Functional Consultant to support the implementation of Oracle Retail MFCS v26 for a retail client. This is a 60% functional / 40% technical role — the consultant will join the Ongoing MFCS V26 Implementation Project which is going live soon. Support the smooth golive and then takeover the AMS post hypercare along with client management. It will be a full time role with Samay Consulting.
**Key Responsibilities**
Functional (60%)
- Lead/support requirement gathering workshops for Item Management, Supplier/PO Management, Inventory Management, and Pricing setup as it integrates with MFCS
- Configure MFCS modules: item master/SKU setup, UDAs and attributes, hierarchy (department/class/subclass), supplier and cost setup, location/store-warehouse setup
- Configure purchase order lifecycle (PO creation, approval, receiving) and inventory positions (stock-on-hand, in-transit, allocations)
- Prepare FDDs (Functional Design Documents) covering gaps and configuration decisions
- Drive UAT cycles, sign-off, and cutover/go-live support for core merchandising processes (item onboarding, PO processing, inventory positions)
- Liaise with client merchandising/planning teams to validate item setup, supplier agreements, and inventory reconciliation reports
Technical (40%)
- Review/support LLDs (Low-Level Design) for integration touchpoints between MFCS and RPCS (Retail Pricing Cloud Service) feeding into item/cost data
- Troubleshoot batch job failures (item/PO/inventory batch jobs) in coordination with offshore technical team
- Support data migration/reconciliation activities (item master load, supplier data, opening inventory positions)
- Work with technical leads on data validation of item, PO, and inventory transactions when needed
- Assist with report customizations (BI Publisher/cloud extracts) tied to MFCS merchandising data
**Required Skills**
- Strong hands-on MFCS v26 (or recent v22–v24) configuration experience
- Solid understanding of core merchandising concepts: item/SKU lifecycle, supplier and PO management, inventory positions, hierarchy and UDA setup
- Working knowledge of Oracle Retail cloud integration architecture (MFCS/RPCS) and batch scheduling
- Comfortable reading/writing basic SQL for data validation
- Prior experience in at least one full implementation (not just support/AMS)
**Nice to Have**
- Exposure to RPCS integration with MFCS
- Experience with replenishment/allocation configuration
- Prior client-facing experience in US retail implementations
**Location:**
Option 1- Remote first in India and then move to Canada
Option 2 - US/Canada based
**Work Hours:** PST (Pacific Standard Time) overlap required ( IST 2nd shift / 3rd Shift)
**Experience:** 10-15 years in Oracle Retail, with at least 2–3 full-cycle MFCS implementations
*** Generous compensation package
