**Role:** Xstore Technical Architect — Xstore Office Cloud Service (XOCS)
**Experience:** 10-15 years overall, 6+ years in Oracle Retail Xstore, including cloud/SaaS deployments
**Location:** Vancouver, Canada ( 5 days in person - Work from office )
*** Its a C2H role. Candidate will likely join the retailer as full time post 6 months of c2h
## Role Summary
Seeking senior Xstore Solution Architect position to engage in Xstore implementation/upgrade projects from inception through implementation. It is a critical architecture role in retailer's Store Technology team that is focusing on Point-of-sale and payments domain.
**Location:** Vancouver, BC
**Roles & Responsibilities**
- Responsible for project-level solution design ensuring the solution design optimally satisfies needs and expectations of the project stakeholders
- Advocates and champions Enterprise Architecture and Domain Architecture recommendations to the project team
- Responsible for overall solution quality; security, performance, flexibility, availability, etc.
- Responsible for deciding technologies to use in the solution not already defined by the Domain Architecture and Enterprise Architecture teams
- Responsible for architecture deliverables such as; non-functional requirements, system diagrams, data models, and traceability matrix to track and monitor the solution from requirements to design to implementation to test cases
**MUST HAVE**
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent experience
- 7+ years of hands-on working experience on Oracle Retail Xstore
- Need experience of at least two end to end implementations of Xstore. Good to have experience of latest Xstore versions such as version 23, 24 or 25
- Payment domain experience (highly valued) – Good to have experience with Adyen Payment Service Provider
- Experience must include programming APIs; Java/JEE; Hibernate; Spring Framework; JSP; AJAX; JavaScript; XML and XML parsers; SOAP/REST web services; service-oriented architectures (SOA); data modeling skills; and writing stored procedures
- Experience with integration of third-party tools and cloud middleware platforms
- Must be capable of providing leadership for junior and senior software engineers alike, understands how to leverage and enhance their current skills
- Ability to manage solution architecture design to align to business value
- Ability to strongly justify the proposed architecture and design in a comparative mode
- Minimum of 5 years developing real world scaled solutions with knowledge of full application development lifecycle (SDLC) and methodologies; waterfall, agile and hybrid
- Excellent presentation, verbal, written, and listening skills
- Strong presentation and interpersonal skills
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills including collaboration, facilitation and negotiation
