Job Responsibilities
Gather, analyze, and document business requirements, translating them into functional specifications and gap analysis documents.
Independently engage with business stakeholders to understand retail processes and convert requirements into detailed business and functional requirements.
Create and review Business Requirement Documents (BRDs), Functional Requirement Documents (FRDs), process flows, and system requirement specifications.
Manage multiple functional requirements and workstreams simultaneously.
Demonstrate strong knowledge of retail applications including POS, Inventory Management, CRM, Promotions, Merchandising, and Reporting solutions.
Conduct requirement gathering workshops, product demonstrations, and stakeholder presentations.
Support Project Managers and Lead Business Analysts in obtaining requirement sign-offs.
Identify project bottlenecks, resolve issues proactively, and escalate risks when necessary.
Build strong relationships with client teams, business users, and cross-functional stakeholders.
Collaborate with Technical, Solution, and Implementation teams to design effective business solutions.
Prepare presentations and solution mapping documents to identify functional gaps and recommended approaches.
Lead configuration and security setup discussions for retail applications and maintain related documentation.
Perform functional testing and validate application behavior against business requirements.
Understand end-to-end retail business processes and integrations across retail systems.
Demonstrate awareness of Retail Merchandising, Omnichannel, Financials, Inventory, and Store Operations concepts.
Support clients throughout SIT, UAT, and production rollout phases.
Deliver end-user training and provide ongoing functional support to teams and clients.
Participate actively in cross-functional project teams.
Effectively communicate technical concepts to both business and technical stakeholders.
Collaborate with internal and external teams to ensure successful project delivery.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Engineering (B.E./B.Tech), MCA, M.S., or M.Tech.
MBA from a reputed institution is highly preferred.
5+ years of experience as a Senior Business Analyst, preferably in Retail or ERP implementation projects.
Strong verbal and written English communication skills.
Excellent presentation and stakeholder management skills.
Experience presenting solutions, conducting workshops, and delivering product demonstrations.
Required Experience & Skills
Retail industry experience with a retailer or retail technology organization is mandatory.
Strong understanding of retail concepts, store operations, and retail IT ecosystems.
Knowledge of Merchandising, Financials, Omnichannel, POS, Inventory Management, CRM, and Promotions solutions.
