Job description
Key Responsibilities
Perform end-to-end functional testing of Oracle Retail Xstore POS across multiple APAC markets, covering base application features, custom enhancements, and store/region-specific configurations.
Test core register and store operations including sales, returns, exchanges, refunds, tender handling, promotions and discounts, price overrides, layaway/order management, gift cards, store-credit, training mode, offline/resilience mode, and start-of-day/end-of-day (SOD/EOD) processes.
Validate SIOCS (Store Inventory Operations Cloud Service) workflows including item lookup and inquiry, stock counts (unit and unit-and-amount), receiving, transfers, return-to-vendor (RTV), shipping, inventory adjustments, and reconciliation against the merchandising system.
Execute device and peripheral testing on POS terminals, mobile POS (Xstore Mobile), barcode scanners, receipt and label printers, payment/EFT terminals (EMV chip, contactless), cash drawers, scales, and customer-facing displays.
Test integrations with upstream and downstream systems — merchandising/ERP (e.g., RMS/MFCS), payment gateways and acquirers, loyalty and CRM, order management, tax engines, e-receipt/e-invoicing, and fiscal/regulatory services.
Validate APAC-specific requirements: multi-currency and multi-language (including Traditional Chinese for HK/Macau), and local payment methods such as Octopus, UnionPay, Alipay, and WeChat Pay.
Design, document, and execute test cases, test scenarios, end-to-end business flows, and regression suites; maintain traceability to requirements.
Identify, log, prioritise, and track defects through to resolution; perform root-cause triage with functional and technical teams and verify fixes through retest and regression.
Support SIT, UAT, dress rehearsals, go-live cutover, and post-go-live hypercare across multiple store rollouts.
Collaborate with business, functional, technical, and vendor teams across regions and time zones, providing clear status reporting and test metrics to program leadership.
Required Skills & Experience
6+ years of QA/testing experience with strong, demonstrable hands-on exposure to Oracle Retail Xstore POS.
Practical experience testing retail store systems and the full POS transaction lifecycle.
Exposure to SIOCS (or comparable store inventory management solutions such as Oracle SIM) and store inventory workflows.
Experience testing retail integrations and end-to-end business workflows across POS, inventory, payments, and merchandising.
Strong command of QA processes, test design techniques, defect lifecycle management, and test management tools (e.g., JIRA, Zephyr, qTest, TestRail, or HP ALM/Quality Center).
Excellent communication and stakeholder-coordination skills in a multi-market, multi-vendor delivery environment.
Nice to Have
Working knowledge of APAC retail market nuances, fiscal/regulatory requirements, and local payment ecosystems.
Exposure to payment certification (EMV/scheme certification) and device integration testing.
Familiarity with Xstore customization architecture and configuration, and with SQL for back-end data validation.
Experience supporting large-scale, multi-country POS rollouts and hypercare.
Cantonese or Mandarin language ability is an advantage for HK/Macau market testing.

** Availability/Notice period - Immediate to max 30 days.

Approx Salary - 40K HKD per month
